Here\u2019s who will tee up for the US and European teams in September\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The Ryder Cup standings will determine 12 of the 24 players who will do battle over the infamous Black course at Bethpage State Park in September.<\/p>\n<p>So who\u2019s made it? We\u2019ll get there, but first let\u2019s find out how they got there\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tHow to qualify for the 2025 Ryder Cup<\/p>\n<p>All eligible American players were able to earn Ryder Cup points through the 2024 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.todays-golfer.com\/news-and-events\/tour-news\/2025-pga-tour-schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2025 PGA Tour season<\/a>. These are broken down as follows:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2024: 1 point per $1,000 earned for all players making the cut at The Players and the four majors<\/li>\n<li>2025 regular PGA Tour events: 1 point per $1,000 earned for all players making the cut at events from January 1 through to the conclusion of the BMW Championship<\/li>\n<li>2025 majors: 1.5 points per $1,000 earned for all players making the cut<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No points were awarded for opposite-field events.<\/p>\n<p>All eligible European players earned Ryder Cup points across five different bands in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.todays-golfer.com\/news-and-events\/tour-news\/2025-dp-world-tour-schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2025 DP World Tour season<\/a>. These are:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Band 5: Major championships \u2013 5,000 points<\/li>\n<li>Band 4: PGA Tour Signature Events\/The Players\/FedEx Cup Playoff events \u2013 3,000 points<\/li>\n<li>Band 3: DP World Tour Rolex Series events and regular PGA Tour FedEx Cup events \u2013 2,000 points<\/li>\n<li>Band 2: DP World Tour Back 9 events \u2013 1,500 points<\/li>\n<li>Band 1: DP World Tour Global Series events and PGA Tour opposite-field events \u2013 1,000 points <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The qualifying period for each team ended in August.<\/p>\n<p>For Team USA, the top six eligible players following the BMW Championship made the team.<\/p>\n<p>For Team Europe, the top six ranked players following the Betfred British Masters qualified automatically for Luke Donald\u2019s side.<\/p>\n<p>Each captain will then have six wildcard picks.<\/p>\n<p>2025 Ryder Cup standings<\/p>\n<p>Right, who\u2019s on their way to New York? Let\u2019s dive in\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Team USA Ryder Cup rankings<\/p>\n<p>The likes of Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa and Patrick Cantlay will require on a captain\u2019s pick from Keegan Bradley, who himself finished 11th in the standings. Bradley will select the remainder of his team on Wednesday August 27 at 10am ET.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Bryson DeChambeau\u2019s major form was enough to see him sneak into the final automatic spot \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.todays-golfer.com\/news-and-events\/ryder-cup\/keegan-bradley-slams-pga-tour-for-bryson-dechambeau-dilemma\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">though he now has another dilemma to deal with<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The top 20 in the American Ryder Cup standings at the end of the qualifying period are:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Scottie Scheffler (Q)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>JJ Spaun (Q)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Xander Schauffele (Q)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Russell Henley (Q)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Harris English (Q)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Bryson DeChambeau (Q)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Justin Thomas<\/li>\n<li>Collin Morikawa<\/li>\n<li>Ben Griffin<\/li>\n<li>Maverick McNealy<\/li>\n<li>Keegan Bradley<\/li>\n<li>Brian Harman<\/li>\n<li>Andrew Novak<\/li>\n<li>Cameron Young<\/li>\n<li>Patrick Cantlay<\/li>\n<li>Sam Burns<\/li>\n<li>Wyndham Clark<\/li>\n<li>Lucas Glover<\/li>\n<li>Akshay Bhatia<\/li>\n<li>Chris Gotterup<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Captain: Keegan Bradley<br \/>Vice-captains: Kevin Kisner, Webb Simpson, Brandt Snedeker, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.todays-golfer.com\/news-and-events\/ryder-cup\/keegan-bradley-names-surprise-team-usa-vice-captain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gary Woodland<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Team Europe Ryder Cup rankings<\/p>\n<p>Rasmus Hojgaard needed a top-30 finish at the Betfred British Masters in order to qualify for his Ryder Cup debut. A tie for 14th was enough to see him leapfrog Shane Lowry and Sepp Straka for the crucial sixth spot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been so stressed out on the course and I was telling my caddie I don\u2019t know how I\u2019m going to be able to do this,\u201d Hojgaard said after his final round at The Belfry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m over the moon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Dane will join Rory McIlroy, Robert MacIntyre, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Tyrrell Hatton in the side.
