Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini has issued an update on Leon Bailey\u2019s injury.<\/p>\n
Bailey left Aston Villa<\/a> to join the Serie A club on loan for the season last Wednesday, but was dealt an instant blow in his first training session in the Italian capital.<\/a><\/p>\n In a statement on Thursday, Roma said: “At the end of the training session on Wednesday 20 August, Leon Bailey suffered a suspected myotendinous tear of his right rectus femoris.<\/p>\n “In the next few hours, the player will undergo further diagnostic tests to establish the precise extent of the injury.<\/p>\n “Bailey has already begun rehabilitation treatment at the “Fulvio Bernardini” sports center.”<\/p>\n Speaking at a press conference, Gasperini said: \u201cWhat happened to Bailey is incredible. We’re gutted for him.<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s an injury that’s hard to explain, especially given the seriousness of it. It’s a shame.
