The family from Edinburgh wanted to honour the life and spirit of Lewis and help others who unfortunately find themselves facing such a devastating loss under challenging circumstances.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nen.press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/lewis-johnson.png?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"940\" height=\"788\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/lewis-johnson.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-211898\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The\u00a0<strong>Lewis Leap Sudden and Traumatic Bereavement Support Service<\/strong>\u00a0has been shaped by those with lived experience, including some of Lewis\u2019 family members.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">This new service was launched at the charity\u2019s annual fundraising event in the Cammo Estate yesterday (Sunday 24 August 2025), surrounded by Lewis\u2019 family, friends and community as well as members of the Cruse Scotland staff and volunteer team.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nen.press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/dog-show-3.jpg?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/dog-show-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-211896\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Lewis\u2019 mum, Elizabeth Johnson, said,\u00a0\u201cThe impact of Lewis\u2019 death on our family and friends was overwhelming, and we struggled to process what had happened and why it had happened to us.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThe support we so desperately wanted didn\u2019t seem to be available. We committed to work with Cruse Scotland to shape a specialist support service for others to access in the early stages of grief who had experienced a sudden and traumatic death.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI\u2019m so proud that the service is named after Lewis, as he was always so kind and generous to friends and strangers alike.
