{"id":372638,"date":"2025-08-25T15:35:13","date_gmt":"2025-08-25T15:35:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/372638\/"},"modified":"2025-08-25T15:35:13","modified_gmt":"2025-08-25T15:35:13","slug":"best-five-moments-from-oscar-piastris-career-in-f1-so-far","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/372638\/","title":{"rendered":"Best five moments from Oscar Piastri&#8217;s career in F1 so far"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Oscar Piastri\u2019s Formula One career has started to take off as he shows why McLaren went to such lengths to secure him for the team.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Australian star has already secured some memorable Grand Prix wins as he looks to add a drivers\u2019 championship to his name.<\/p>\n<p>While there are plenty of years still ahead of him in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesportreview.com\/f1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">F1<\/a>, there are some moments from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesportreview.com\/topics\/oscar-piastri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oscar Piastri<\/a> that will live long in the memory.<\/p>\n<p>So, with that said, here\u2019s a look at the top five best moments from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesportreview.com\/topics\/mclaren\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McLaren<\/a> ace in his career so far.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2228334963-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Oscar Piastri celebrates winning the F1 Grand Prix of Hungary\" \/>Photo by Clive Rose\/Getty ImagesOscar Piastri\u2019s dramatic Alpine switch to McLaren<\/p>\n<p>Oscar Piastri came through the Alpine academy, working his way towards a role in F1, which included a position as reserve driver for the team.<\/p>\n<p>In August 2022, following the news that Fernando Alonso would be leaving the team to join Aston Martin, Alpine announced the Australian would be stepping onto the grid.<\/p>\n<p>However, despite that, Piastri rejected the claim that he would be racing for them on social media, claiming he had not accepted a contract and wouldn\u2019t be driving for Alpine in 2023.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I understand that, without my agreement, Alpine F1 have put out a press release late this afternoon that I am driving for them next year. This is wrong and I have not signed a contract with Alpine for 2023.
