A man in his twenties has died after becoming unwell at a residential property in south Belfast on Sunday morning, police have said.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the Victoria Place apartments on Wellwood Street, where police responded in support of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n

The man was transported to hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

In a statement, a spokesperson for the PSNI confirmed: \u201cPolice attended an address in the Wellwood Street area of Belfast city centre on Sunday morning, in support of colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. A man aged in his 20s was taken to hospital, where he subsequently died.\u201d<\/p>\n

They said enquiries are ongoing and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.<\/p>\n
