Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley made a startling admission about his looming retirement from television whilst broadcasting live on ITV<\/a>.<\/p>\n In an episode of GMB that aired last year, Richard and co-presenter Charlotte Hawkins spoke with Olympic gymnast Max Whitlock, who has secured six Olympic medals throughout his career.<\/p>\n While discussing Max’s decision to retire at 31 and motivate upcoming athletes, Richard wondered what it felt like to reach a “hard stop.”<\/p>\n This prompted Richard to contemplate his own career, admitting that he is “slowly coming to a stop,” presenting GMB several days each week as he apparently prepares for retirement.<\/p>\n Social media users noticed the remark, with one user questioning at the time, “Did Richard say he’s retiring in that #Olympics segment? Wonder how long he’ll stay on #GMB for then,” reports the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n Nevertheless, Richard Madeley appears to have no intention of stepping back anytime soon.<\/p>\n He has recently resumed his presenting responsibilities following a brief hiatus from the programme.<\/p>\n Viewers appeared delighted by his comeback as they flocked to social media to express their reactions.<\/p>\n One supporter posted, “Madeley’s back,” whilst another commented, “Madeley back on presenting.”<\/p>\n A third remarked, “Oh Joy. Madeley,” and a fourth viewer likewise posted, “Richard Madeley back on @gmb.”<\/p>\n Back in July, Richard disclosed that he would be taking a holiday, mere days after principal presenter Susanna Reid announced her summer absence from the programme.<\/p>\n Following this, numerous presenters, including Charlotte Hawkins, Ranvir Singh, and Adil Ray, have filled in to front the show.<\/p>\n This morning, on Bank Holiday Monday, Richard was accompanied by Kate Garraway, who presented the day’s top stories.
