Cole Palmer<\/a> went incognito at Notting Hill Carnival on Monday afternoon as he donned an elaborate disguise.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Chelsea<\/a> star was determined to enjoy some downtime in west London, just a few miles from the Stamford Bridge stadium he regularly lights up.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Palmer’s grandfather, Sterry, was born in the Caribbean island of St Kitts in the Caribbean and he made his first trip to the nation over the summer – a holiday Daily Mail Sport joined him on<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Notting Hill Carnival, Europe’s largest street party, celebrates Caribbean culture and as such Palmer wanted to get involved.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old, who missed Chelsea’s 5-1 thrashing of West Ham<\/a> on Friday due to a warm-up injury, posted a video of the festival as well as a photo of his outfit on Instagram.<\/p>\n

He wore a full face mask, a\u00a0rastacap, and black dreadlocks in a bid to embrace his heritage – but perhaps also not be attract too much attention.<\/p>\n

Palmer turned his hand to jet skiing off the coast of St Kitts, where his paternal grandfather was born before moving to the UK as a six-year-old<\/p>\n

Palmer is not one to draw attention to himself and the mask will have allowed him to enjoy his afternoon without getting too much of the limelight.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The England star went viral back in April as he jogged past Stamford Bridge post-game to pick up a pair of Prada shoes.<\/p>\n

He had a stream of people in tow, people shouting his name while filming, and it was a stark reminder of how hard it can be for players to go out in public.\u00a0<\/p>\n

True to his nature, Palmer had a short message as he posted from Notting Hill, writing: ‘Blendinggg’.<\/p>\n
