{"id":374262,"date":"2025-08-26T06:35:20","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T06:35:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/374262\/"},"modified":"2025-08-26T06:35:20","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T06:35:20","slug":"suffolk-hospital-parking-fees-income-revealed-in-jump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/374262\/","title":{"rendered":"Suffolk hospital parking fees income revealed in jump"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (WSFT) raised its charges for patients and visitors at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds in June last year, and were increased again on April 1 this year due to &#8220;rising inflation and operational costs&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Figures released under the Freedom of Information Act reveal income from the fees has jumped from \u00a3798,862.66 in 2021\/22 to \u00a31,811,476.47 in the last financial year.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eadt.co.uk\/news\/25353766.ipswich-hospital-patients-thanked-esneft-strikes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust<\/a> received \u00a31million from patient and visitor parking in 2024, up from \u00a3420,000 in 2021.
