Wrexham have brought in significant attacking firepower this summer as Phil Parkinson looks to compete in the Championship.<\/strong><\/p>\n

2025 has brought major changes to Wrexham\u2019s<\/a> attacking ranks.<\/p>\n

Sam Smith joined Wrexham in a club-record deal<\/a> back in January, joining on the same day as veteran forward Jay Rodriguez.<\/p>\n

The summer brought one difficult exit, as Paul Mullin was sent to Wigan Athletic<\/a> after slipping down Phil Parkinson\u2019s<\/a> pecking order.<\/p>\n

Parkinson has revamped his options, with Ryan Hardie becoming Wrexham\u2019s first summer signing<\/a> before Josh Windass arrived on a free transfer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wrexham then snapped up Kieffer Moore<\/a> and Nathan Broadhead completed a club-record move<\/a> from Ipswich Town, meaning four new attackers have joined this summer.<\/p>\n

Wrexham have been linked with many other strikers this summer, including Danny Ings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

West Ham United released Ings at the end of last season, and the former England forward remains a free agent.<\/p>\n

Wrexham spoke to Ings<\/a> about a potential move to the ST\u014dK Cae Ras early in the summer, but nothing came of that initial interest.<\/p>\n

Watford also looked at Ings<\/a>, before Middlesbrough appeared to have a deal in place for Ings<\/a> in July.<\/p>\n

That deal collapsed, meaning Ings has started the new season without a club, which will have surprised many.<\/p>\n

Wrexham appear to have moved on, but reports from the Sheffield Star<\/a> now claim that Ings has joined Sheffield United on trial.<\/p>\n

Ings and fellow former Southampton ace Nathan Redmond have both linked up with the struggling Blades in an attempt to win a contract.<\/p>\n

Sheffield United sit rock bottom of the Championship table, losing all three of their games while scoring just once and conceding six times.<\/p>\n

The pressure is already mounting on new boss Ruben Selles, and he may hope to bring in veteran attacker Ings to aid his goalscoring hopes.<\/p>\n

More changes may come in Wrexham\u2019s attack<\/strong><\/p>\n

We really can\u2019t see Wrexham going back in for Ings any time soon, but more changes could still come.<\/p>\n

Ollie Palmer has been made available<\/a> and could leave Wrexham after a lack of significant playing time in 2025.<\/p>\n

The target man will forever be a Wrexham hero, but League One and League Two clubs are bound to be interested and would give him first-team minutes.<\/p>\n

Jack Marriott has been linked to Reading<\/a> as well, meaning Wrexham could offload two more strikers before the transfer window closes.<\/p>\n
