Rail passengers travelling between Merseyside<\/a> and Manchester are being warned to expect delays and cancellations following an emergency incident.<\/p>\n Trains<\/a> have been stopped on the line between Huyton and Earlestown this morning (August 26).<\/p>\n The incident is affecting Northern<\/a> and TransPennine Express<\/a> services between Liverpool<\/a> and Manchester.<\/p>\n A National Rail spokesperson said: “The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Huyton and Earlestown. So that they can safely carry out their work, all lines are closed.<\/p>\n Never miss a story with the MEN’s daily Catch Up newsletter – get it in your inbox by signing up here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n “Trains running through these stations will be cancelled or delayed by up to 35 minutes as a result.
