At the southern end of the castle lies the family wing, with service areas and a courtyard to the north.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>One of the three state rooms (Image: ITAGO MEDIA LTD) <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>The main dining room (Image: ITAGO MEDIA) <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>The castle also comes with its very own library (Image: ITAGO MEDIA) Beyond the formal rooms is a private chapel with a kitchenette and dining space.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The main kitchen features a butler&#8217;s pantry, located near the dining room and the rear service entrance.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The castle features a turnpike staircase which leads from the gallery to the first floor, with additional stairs to upper levels.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The first floor offers 12 bedrooms and six bathrooms, with four more bedrooms and two bathrooms on the second floor.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>One of the bedrooms (Image: ITAGO MEDIA LTD) <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>Another bedroom\u00a0 (Image: ITAGO MEDIA LTD) On the lower ground and basement levels of the castle there is secondary accommodation, including a former servants&#8217; hall, storerooms and domestic quarters around the service courtyard.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The grounds of the castle also feature a stable block, which the current owners have been using to run a livery <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenational.scot\/topics\/business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">business<\/a>. There is stabling for approximately nine horses, various loose boxes, several stores, a staff room, a tack room, workshop and a double garage.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  There is also an all-weather manege (an outdoor horse riding area), which is used to train horses in riding and dressage skills, with a further four loose boxes behind a barn which store hay and straw.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>A view of the stables (Image: ITAGO MEDIA) Since 2014, the current owners have undertaken significant improvements to the castle, including partial re-wiring, re-plumbing and the redecoration of several of the principal rooms.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  They have also created a formal garden to the southern part of the property and installed a 10 1\/4-inch gauge 600m railway which winds through part of the grounds.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>The formal gardens (Image: ITAGO MEDIA) The railway comes with its own platform, ticket office, engine and rolling stock shed and a joiner&#8217;s shop.
