Prince Harry<\/a>, 40, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, in the third episode of the new series.<\/p>\nShe was joined in conversation by Queer Eye presenter Tan France, 42, who asked when she knew she was in love with the Duke of Sussex.<\/p>\n
Meghan said: \u201cYes, that was on our third date,\u201d referring to a week-long safari trip the couple took to Botswana in 2016. <\/p>\n
She added: \u201cWe met in Botswana and we camped for five days together. You really get to know each other when you\u2019re in a little tent together and it\u2019s like \u2013 what is that outside the tent? That\u2019s an elephant. Are we going to be safe? Yeah, you\u2019re safe. OK.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWhen Tan asked who had first spoken the words \u201cI love you\u201d, Meghan replied: \u201cHe told me.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nTan then teased her, saying she was blushing and adding he would stop the line of questioning.<\/p>\n
\nThe series, which premiered on Netflix on Tuesday (26.08.25), also provides glimpses into the Sussexes\u2019 private life. <\/p>\n
\nAnd Meghan shared details about Harry\u2019s 40th birthday in September 2024, which he spent at a charity tennis tournament. <\/p>\n
\nThe event honoured her close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen and her late son, George.<\/p>\n
\nMeghan said she created customised baseball caps to mark the occasion. <\/p>\n
\nShe explained: \u201cI made baseball caps for everyone that read, \u2018PH40,\u2019 in honour of Harry\u2019s birthday.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe Netflix series also revisited Meghan\u2019s acting past after she was initially best known for playing Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits before marrying into the royal family.<\/p>\n
\nIt also explores her life since stepping back as a working royal. <\/p>\n
\nIn 2020, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties \u2013 dubbed \u201cMegxit\u201d \u2013 relocating to North America, pursuing financial independence and redefining their roles beyond the British monarchy.<\/p>\n
