(Image: Newsquest) Megan Sawyers, one parent and stand-in lollipop lady, says the junction has a series of issues which make it dangerous to youngsters.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  She said: &#8220;I myself\u00a0and at\u00a0least three other people that I know\u00a0remember\u00a0fatalities that have happened on this road.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;To me, it&#8217;s not a risk worth taking to remove the lollipop ladies because while they\u00a0have been here, as far as I know, there hasn&#8217;t been an accident.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;I think it would be interesting to know how much money they&#8217;re saving because they were only working half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the afternoon.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;There must be other places within the budget that they could trim the fat rather than this.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Megan and the parent council, who have devised a rota for their volunteers to stand on the road, say they are concerned about the faded road marking and the timing of the lights.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"The yellow road markings on the box junction are faded.\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>The yellow road markings on the box junction are faded. (Image: Newsquest) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clydebankpost.co.uk\/news\/25278326.clydebank-parents-fury-schools-lose-crossing-patrollers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">We previously reported<\/a> how parents had raised significant concerns with the junction, which they say is prone to accidents due to a lack of road lining and badly timed lights.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clydebankpost.co.uk\/news\/25306360.mccolls-bus-bmw-collide-driver-taken-hospital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a bus and a BMW\u00a0collided at the junction<\/a>, causing damage to both vehicles.
