Zepto<\/a> CEO Aadit Palicha<\/a> has delivered a clear message about the company\u2019s high-performance culture, stating that the quick commerce platform is not the place for those seeking traditional work-life balance. <\/p>\n

Speaking with startup<\/a> accelerator Y Combinator<\/a>\u2019s Garry Tan, Palicha reinforced a tweet he had posted in December last year: “Nothing against work-life balance. In fact, I recommend it to all our competitors.”<\/p>\n

Palicha said, \u201cJoin here if you’re really looking to do the best work of your life. This is a very execution-focused culture. Everyone is deep into the game, solving real problems every day. That\u2019s how you become the best version of yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

With over 3,000 corporate employees, Palicha acknowledged that not everyone at Zepto can be expected to work relentlessly or feel as driven as the leadership team. \u201cIt doesn’t feel like work, at least for me,\u201d he said, \u201cbut I know it’s not realistic to expect everyone to work seven days a week or love every moment of it.\u201d
Making his point, he cited Elon Musk<\/a>‘s SpaceX<\/a> as a mission-driven company. Palicha said he aims to create similar inspiration at Zepto: \u201cLet\u2019s build a truly great internet company in India. Let\u2019s kick off the internet revolution in India that should have been much bigger than it is today.\u201d<\/p>\n

He believes Indian startups can create 10x more value for the country and sees Zepto\u2019s mission as part of a broader national transformation, similar to what internet companies sparked in China. \u201cMaybe we can play a small part in that,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Palicha\u2019s remarks come at a time when work-life balance is a growing priority for India\u2019s workforce<\/a>, especially among tech and startup professionals.<\/p>\n
