It\u2019s a fundamental driver of innovation, economic growth, and societal progress,&#8217; says Festival Director Ben Evans. Richer than ever, this edition will include Mycoworks, presenting a new material cultivated from mycelium and explored through products by the likes of OEO Studio, Cecilie Manz, Maria Bruun and more. Building on Withers\u2019 legacy, Tieghi-Walker will invite new voices, softer sensibilities, and unconventional formats. We caught up with him at his New York gallery to learn more about the thinking behind this year\u2019s theme, \u2018A Softer World\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I\u2019ve invited different curators to take over different spaces, such as the interior design firm <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/roomsstudio.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/roomsstudio.net\/\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"noopener\">Rooms Studio<\/a>; the designer <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.studiocharlottetaylor.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.studiocharlottetaylor.com\/\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"noopener\">Charlotte Taylor<\/a>, who proposed a show called \u2018Soft World, Sharp Edges\u2019; and <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/studiotionetrice.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/studiotionetrice.com\/\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"noopener\">Tione Trice <\/a>from vintage store Of the Cloth in New York. He works very closely with Solange Knowles and is bringing in artists such as Nigerian-American designer <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.njiko.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.njiko.co\/\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"noopener\">Myles Igwebuike<\/a> and <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.darrenappiagyei.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.darrenappiagyei.co.uk\/\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"noopener\">Darren Appiagyei<\/a>, who works in wood and is based in Deptford,&#8217; he told Wallpaper*. The roster includes Andu Masebo, EJR Barnes, Eddie Olin, Joe Armitage, Jaclyn Pappalardo, Isabel Alonso and Lewis Kemmenoe, tasked with reimagining traditional wooden furniture. Jones. At each stop, a curated set of seats will become both the subject and the support for community-oriented events such as workshops, discussions, supper clubs, and more.
