\n Emergency services were called to Edinburgh Drive, St Ives, at 6.55am after reports of a bungalow fire this morning (August 27).\n<\/p>\n
\n A man in his 80s was pronounced dead at the scene.\n<\/p>\n
\n Another man, in his 20s, was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital, with minor injuries.\n<\/p>\n
\n A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were called to a bungalow fire in Edinburgh Drive, St Ives, at about 6.55am this morning (August 27).\n<\/p>\n
\n “Officers, alongside firefighters and paramedics, attended the scene and a man, aged in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Another man, aged in his 20s, was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon suffering from minor injuries.\n<\/p>\n
\n “An investigation is on-going.”\n<\/p>\n
\n A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service added: “We were called at 6.50am to a bungalow fire on Edinburgh Drive in St Ives. Crews from Chatteris, Gamlingay, Ramsey and Cambourne attended.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Firefighters used four hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire and dampened down the area, checking for hotspots.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The cause of the fire will be determined by a fire investigation.”\n<\/p>\n
