{"id":378249,"date":"2025-08-27T18:07:41","date_gmt":"2025-08-27T18:07:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/378249\/"},"modified":"2025-08-27T18:07:41","modified_gmt":"2025-08-27T18:07:41","slug":"man-dead-after-edinburgh-drive-bungalow-fire-in-st-ives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/378249\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dead after Edinburgh Drive bungalow fire in St Ives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Emergency services were called to Edinburgh Drive, St Ives, at 6.55am after reports of a bungalow fire this morning (August 27).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A man in his 80s was pronounced dead at the scene.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Another man, in his 20s, was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital, with minor injuries.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: &#8220;We were called to a bungalow fire in Edinburgh Drive, St Ives, at about 6.55am this morning (August 27).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Officers, alongside firefighters and paramedics, attended the scene and a man, aged in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Another man, aged in his 20s, was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon suffering from minor injuries.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;An investigation is on-going.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service added: &#8220;We were called at 6.50am to a bungalow fire on Edinburgh Drive in St Ives. Crews from Chatteris, Gamlingay, Ramsey and Cambourne attended.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Firefighters used four hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire and dampened down the area, checking for hotspots.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;The cause of the fire will be determined by a fire investigation.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <strong>Have you got a story you want to share with us?
