A young girl dubbed a ‘real-life Cinderella’ has been left ‘overwhelmed’ after her community rallied to throw her a second prom – after the first one was spoiled by heartless bullies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jessica Robinson, 11, was left in tears last month [July 16] when she had to leave her primary school prom early after a bully ‘repeatedly stamped-on’ her \u00a3450 blue dress while others ‘filmed it and laughed’.<\/p>\n

The youngster was forced to leave what should have been a happy event in tears, with her beloved dress ‘torn to pieces’.<\/p>\n

Her mother, Micha Robinson, says Jessica has been the victim of bullying for the past three years, and she didn’t ‘didn’t come out of her room’ following the incident.<\/p>\n

However, Jessica was given the chance to celebrate her special night all over again after the local community came together to organise a ‘prom re-do’, with local businesses generously offering their services for free.<\/p>\n

Micha, 32, said that Jessica was ‘over the moon’ and ‘had a smile on her face all night’ during the celebrations on Saturday night (August 23), as she dazzled in her mended blue dress.<\/p>\n

Micha, from Blackpool, said: “Jessica was over the moon. There was a smile on her face all night.<\/p>\n

“It’s definitely helped her to rewrite the memories from the previous prom night. She was overwhelmed by it all.”<\/p>\n

More than 100 bikers turned up to escort Jessica to the party on Saturday night, and her \u00a3450 dress was mended for free by a generous member of the Blackpool community.<\/p>\n

Micha said: “It went absolutely brilliant.<\/p>\n

“More than 100 bikers and scooters turned up outside the house for her.<\/p>\n

“She got given a bunch of flowers for anti-bullying.<\/p>\n

“The bikers drove down the prom with her and the traffic was blocked off.<\/p>\n

“She got to the venue, she was welcomed by everyone and she had a really good night.”<\/p>\n

Micha has thanked the local community for rallying together to throw the second bash for Jessica.<\/p>\n

Micha said: “I’m thankful for everyone that contributed and everyone that took the time out of her day to come and support my daughter.<\/p>\n

“I’m so overwhelmed by the massive response that I’ve had and I can’t thank them enough.”<\/p>\n

Jessica’s beloved dress was left ripped<\/p>\n

Owner of Notorious bar, Libbie Cannon, offered use of her venue free-of-charge to host the ‘Ballgowns & Bravery’ event, with more than 50 children in attendance.<\/p>\n

Libbie, also from Blackpool, said: “We’ve definitely all rallied together to help Jessica.<\/p>\n

“The response has been absolutely fantastic.<\/p>\n

“Being around bullying as a child, it really pulled at my heart strings.<\/p>\n

“She looked absolutely stunning and gorgeous.<\/p>\n

“She looked like a real-life Cinderella – and she left the prom with having her dress literally ripped from her.”<\/p>\n

Micha says the prom re-do has helped Jessica to rewrite the memories of last month’s event, which left Jessica too upset to attend school for the final two days of term.<\/p>\n

Micha said: “We dropped her off at prom, she went in and everything was fine but when I went to pick her up she came to me in tears.<\/p>\n

“She was crying her eyes out, with all of her dress torn to pieces.<\/p>\n

“Apparently the bully was stamping all over the dress and kids were there recording her on a phone, laughing while they did it.”<\/p>\n

Micha revealed that the bullying began three years ago and Jessica has been receiving counselling since the latest incident.<\/p>\n

Micha stated: “The bullying started when she was in Year 3.<\/p>\n

“Three years on it’s come to her prom night and the bully destroyed her dress. She’s now under counselling for it.<\/p>\n

“When it first happened to her on prom night, she wouldn’t come out of her room and wouldn’t speak to anyone.<\/p>\n
