Jake Haro gave cops yet another story from jail, telling them he had rolled over on baby Emmanuel as he slept and suffocated him before burying his body near a freeway, according to Entin’s source. In recent days, Jake Haro was spotted with investigators searching a remote field alongside a highway in Moreno Valley.<\/p>\n
“We have some ideas in terms of where we’re going to look and where we’re going to continue to investigate,” Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin told reporters. He added that it is now believed baby Emmanuel likely died as a result of abuse inflicted by his parents.<\/p>\n
“The filing in this case reflects our belief that baby Emmanuel was abused, a victim of child abuse over time, and that eventually, because of that abuse, he succumbed to those injuries,” Hestrin told reporters.<\/p>\n
“We have a pretty strong indication of where the remains of baby Emmanuel are”, he added, following reports that detectives had reason to believe his body was thrown into a rubbish bin. The couple is being held on $1 million (\u00a3740,000) bail each.<\/p>\n

Authorities said they found inconsistencies in the mother\u2019s account, and searched the couple\u2019s home in the Riverside County community of Cabazon before arresting the couple on Friday.<\/p>\n
Over the weekend, sheriff\u2019s deputies searched for the boy\u2019s remains in a field by a motorway in the presence of Jake Haro, who authorities said provided some cooperation. The boy\u2019s body was not found, and no additional information was provided about the search.<\/p>\n
Mr Hestrin argued that Jake Haro should have been sentenced to prison time after he pleaded guilty in open court two years ago to abusing another one of his children in 2018. The girl is said to have suffered rib and skull fractures, a brain haemorrhage and other injuries that caused permanent damage.<\/p>\n
