Brandon \u201cThe Cannon\u201d Adams promises to blast Serhii Bohachuk<\/a> once again when they meet in a rematch on Sept. 13.
The 10-round, 156-pound catchweight bout will take place<\/a> on the Canelo Alvarez-Terence Crawford undercard at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and headline the prelim portion on YouTube before the night’s final four fights stream on Netflix. <\/p>\n

In March 2021, Adams (25-4, 16 KOs) authored a dramatic come-from-behind, eighth-round knockout win against the then-unbeaten Bohachuk (26-2, 24 KOs). <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a great opportunity for both of us, but the rematch is going to go in my favor as well,\u201d Adams told The Ring<\/a>. \u201cI’m confident not only because I already knocked him out but because I have gotten better since then. We are going to get the best versions of each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cI beat him four years ago off of counters and lateral movement, and that’s exactly what I am known for. What I bring to the table is what’s needed to stop him again, and I am going to stop him again.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cBohachuk is one of the better fighters in our division because he’s very tough and has worked extremely hard for his spot. I didn’t really feel his power because I was slipping the punches. Maybe he’ll get an opportunity to land again this time, but my job is to make sure he doesn’t land anything. I know what I need to do to win, and I am going to impose my will to get it done.\u201d <\/p>\n

Adams was down 68-64 twice and 69-63 during a humid night outdoors in Puerto Rico when he connected with a crushing left hook leaving Bohachuk collapsed on the canvas. The Ukrainian got up before a 10-count was reached on unsteady legs only to see referee Ramon Pena wave off the fight. <\/p>\n

Adams has fought just three times since then and is coming off a disputed split-decision loss to Andreas Katzourakis<\/a> in November. Adams also has a 2018 unanimous-decision win against Shane Mosley Jr.<\/a> and a unanimous-decision loss to Jermall Charlo <\/a>in 2019.
Bohachuk, meanwhile, has remained more active, going 8-1 since losing to Adams. He\u2019s beaten Brian Mendoza and most recently Mykal Fox in May<\/a>. The loss came against Vergil Ortiz<\/a> during a firefight last summer in which Bohachuk knocked him down twice but lost by majority decision. <\/p>\n

\u201cBohachuk\u2019s opposition has gotten sturdier, but I see him struggle with the same things,\u201d Adams said. \u201cI believe that if you put the same kind of fighters in against somebody, they\u2019ll always look a certain way. I am the wrong style for him, and I will prove it again on fight night.\u201d <\/p>\n

Bohachuk is The Ring\u2019s No. 6 fighter at 154 pounds<\/a>; Adams is not ranked in the top 10. The winner will emerge in a prime position for another significant fight in one of boxing\u2019s most loaded divisions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is an extremely important fight in my career,\u201d said Adams, 36. \u201cI plan on taking care of business in emphatic fashion. It will be the kind of win where he never wants to fight me again.\u201d <\/p>\n
