She\u2019s shown that she\u2019s willing to do whatever\u2019s necessary to help her on her way \u2013 perhaps never more so than in her role on game show Deal Or No Deal, which she graced as a scantily clad \u2018briefcase model\u2019.<\/p>\n

So she\u2019ll be untroubled by the vituperation heaped on the second season of her Netflix<\/a> show, With Love, Meghan \u2013 summarised by one critic as \u2018a series in search of a meaning, fronted by a woman in need of some cash\u2019.<\/p>\n

But might Meghan Sussex heed the words of an old friend, if only because, as has been pointed out, this new series is \u2018all about friendship\u2019?<\/p>\n

I ask because one former chum has taken the opportunity to offer her some bracing home truths. Model-turned-television and radio presenter Lizzie Cundy<\/a>, who first met the future Duchess of Sussex<\/a> in 2013 at a London<\/a> charity event, warns that her one-time friend urgently needs to start afresh.<\/p>\n

\u2018It doesn\u2019t matter how many pots of jam she makes, she has to stop pretending. She\u2019s not [lifestyle guru] Martha Stewart<\/a>,\u2019 says Cundy, who found Meghan \u2018really fun, really sweet\u2019 on first acquaintance. Meghan should \u2018be who she is\u2019, says the 57-year-old, who has previously recalled how, at their first meeting, Meghan asked her if she knew \u2018any famous guys\u2019, explaining that she was single and \u2018really loved\u2019 English men.<\/p>\n

But the trouble is, adds Cundy, that Meghan can\u2019t relax as she did in her early 30s because of how unfavourably she\u2019s compared with the Princess of Wales<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018She\u2019s fuming how the public love Kate. She needs to stop being bitter, stop being angry and stop being \u201cpoor me\u201d,\u2019 reflects Cundy, whom Meghan ditched after she became involved with Prince Harry.<\/p>\n

She advises Meghan to \u2018take a leaf out of Kate\u2019s book\u2019.<\/p>\n

But that might be too bitter a pill for her to swallow…<\/p>\n
