Their cataclysmic failure to qualify for the Champions League appears to have wrought havoc on Celtic<\/a>‘s transfer plans \u2013 but there’s still plenty of comings and goings expected before next week’s deadline.<\/p>\n And one star who looks set to be offski to make room is winger Yang<\/strong>.<\/p>\n It was reported earlier that after their exit to Kairat Almaty last night torpedoed a \u00a342m pay day and sent Celtic tumbling into the far less lucrative Europa League<\/a>, Brendan Rodgers’ plans to add another winger after Michel-Ange Balikwisha<\/strong> had taken a major blow.<\/p>\n Jakob Breum<\/strong> is said to no longer be on the table as things stand<\/a>, but that could of course change if funds can be raised by moving players on.<\/p>\n South Korean winger Yang<\/a> is one of the obvious dispensable players and he is reportedly a late window target for cash-rich Birmingham City where he could reunite with Kyogo.<\/p>\n The English Championship side haven\u2019t been shy in shopping north of the border since the arrival of former Hoops coach Chris Davies as boss.<\/p>\n Sky Sports and others report the 23-year-old has emerged as a target for City late in the window.<\/p>\n Balikwisha is still on his way, as is left-back Marcelo Saracchi<\/strong>, and we understand the plan prior to their Champions League humiliation was to add at least one more winger \u2013 and perhaps another striker beyond that.<\/p>\n Our man Michael Gannon suspected even before last night’s catastrophe that the latter may only happen if interest in Daizen Maeda<\/strong> firms up and it may be that the transfer vultures gear up to take advantage of Celtic’s weakened negotiating position in the days ahead \u2013 though it would still take a mega offer to tempt them to part with last year’s player of the season.<\/p>\n If they were to move on Maeda for big bucks then other striker targets could be revisited.<\/p>\n Slovan Bratislava’s David Strelec<\/strong> has been of interest in the past while Lorient’s Sambou Soumano<\/strong> has been floated.<\/p>\n Follow Record Sport<\/strong> on Twitter<\/a>, Facebook<\/a> and Instagram<\/a> for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond.<\/p>\n You can get all the news you need on our dedicated Celtic<\/a> page, and sign up to our newsletters<\/a> to make sure you never miss a beat throughout the season.<\/p>\n We’re also on WhatsApp where we bring all the latest breaking news and transfer gossip directly to you phone.
