Adam Idah is receiving serious interest from Swansea City.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Celtic<\/a> striker has gone way down in the estimations of the Hoops fanbase. From the high of scoring the winner in the Scottish Cup final in 2024, he\u2019s probably now at his lowest point.<\/p>\n

Idah<\/a> has played four games without scoring this season and missed a crucial penalty as Celtic were knocked out of the Champions League<\/a> by Kairat Almaty.<\/p>\n

Yet despite his bad form, EFL Championship side Swansea want to sign Idah<\/a>. Now, Sky Sports have confirmed the interest and have provided some details.<\/p>\n

Reliable reporter Anthony Joseph has posted an update on the Sky Sports<\/a> Scottish Premiership transfer blog, and has revealed Swansea are very keen to secure Idah on a deal.<\/p>\n

Joseph also states that Celtic<\/a> are surprised by Swansea\u2019s approach and that Idah had no intentions of leaving the Hoops this summer.<\/p>\n

The report states: \u201cSwansea City\u00a0are in talks to sign\u00a0Celtic\u00a0striker\u00a0Adam Idah.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is understood the approach has come as a surprise to Celtic, who had no intentions of selling the Republic of Ireland international this summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIdah has also not been looking to leave the Scottish champions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever,\u00a0Sky Sports News\u00a0understands Swansea are pushing hard to sign the 24-year-old and are prepared to pay a decent fee.\u201d<\/p>\n

Would Celtic make a loss on Idah?<\/p>\n

Back in August 2024 last year, Celtic pushed the boat out considerably to sign Idah<\/a> permanently from Norwich City.<\/p>\n

This came after a successful loan spell, but the club certainly overpaid for the Irishman. At \u00a39m, he has not lived up to that price tag at all.<\/p>\n

Idah did score 20 goals in 54 games for Celtic last season, so you could argue he has. But Celtic fans are not convinced by his ability over the longer term.<\/p>\n

Joseph is reporting that Swansea are willing to \u2018pay a decent fee\u2019 for Idah. But it\u2019s unlikely that will match the \u00a39m spent on him last season.<\/p>\n

However, talks are ongoing and it may well be that the Bhoys decide to keep Idah given how late we are in the window.<\/p>\n
