It\u2019s one of the world\u2019s most iconic landmarks, regularly attracting over half a million visitors, looking for a chance to walk through its historic halls and playing host to countless state visits and banquets. But for the royal family, life at Buckingham Palace is a wholly unappealing prospect, at least according to one biographer.<\/p>\n
Countless column inches have been dedicated to the news<\/a> that Prince William<\/a> and the Princess of Wales<\/a> are moving out of Adelaide Cottage and transplanting their family to Forest Lodge in Windsor<\/a>. The clan plans to stay in their Grade II listed \u2018forever home\u2019 long after William is crowned king, reports The Daily Mail<\/a>, following in the footsteps of his father, King Charles, who has kept Clarence House<\/a> as his London<\/a> base.<\/p>\n A bold move, as many royal watchers have noted, considering how crucial it was for the Firm\u2019s image to have the late Queen Elizabeth at home in Buckingham Palace, flags raised to indicate that the monarch was stationed in the centre of the nation\u2019s capital.
