It seems that not only do they have the strongest rider at this race, but also the strongest team &#8211; contrary to expectations of how UAE would ride.<\/p>\n<p>2025-08-28T15:29:52.808Z<\/p>\n<p id=\"d1ff7ea0-37c2-4795-b7a6-af025e6e3c95\">Juan Ayuso eventually finished with his teammate Felix Gro\u00dfschartner, a whole 7:32 after the group of favourites. That&#8217;s his red jersey aspirations well and truly over for another year, and he&#8217;ll surely revert to a domestique role in support of Almeida.<\/p>\n<p>2025-08-28T15:25:21.321Z<\/p>\n<p id=\"96d4088b-764b-48a4-b867-24f6856685d2\">Perhaps the story of the day is Torstein Tr\u00e6en. Just a few years ago the Norwegian was diagnosed with cancer. It\u2019s now at 45 seconds, even before the official start of the climb.
