beach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">South Wales Police were alerted to Rhossili Beach on the Gower Peninsula on Wednesday evening, August 27, after reports emerged that a body had been found on the shoreline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Residents witnessed emergency services racing through Llangennith village towards the coastline, whilst a coastguard helicopter was spotted circling above.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Police subsequently confirmed that the remains of a 63-year-old Bristol man had been recovered from the beach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">No suspicious circumstances have been identified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Official identification has yet to be completed, though the man&#8217;s family have been notified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A Coastguard spokesperson commented: &#8220;HM Coastguard responded to an incident in the Rhossili Bay area on Wednesday night, August 27&#8221;, reports <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/news\/wales-news\/body-found-popular-beach-after-32366655\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Wales Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;Alerted at around 7.30pm, Rhossili Coastguard Rescue Team, a coastguard search and rescue helicopter and a lifeboat from Burry Port RNLI were sent to the scene.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">South Wales Police issued a statement saying: &#8220;Officers were called to Rhossili Beach, near to Hillend Camping Park, at around 7:15pm yesterday (Wednesday, August 27) following a report of a body having been discovered on the beach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;The body of a 63-year-old man from Bristol was located on the beach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;There are no suspicious circumstances.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;Formal identification is to take place this afternoon, but the man&#8217;s next of kin have been
