{"id":381137,"date":"2025-08-28T23:10:17","date_gmt":"2025-08-28T23:10:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/381137\/"},"modified":"2025-08-28T23:10:17","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T23:10:17","slug":"how-much-rio-ngumoha-could-earn-at-liverpool-when-he-signs-his-first-professional-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/381137\/","title":{"rendered":"How much Rio Ngumoha could earn at Liverpool when he signs his first professional contract"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Rio Ngumoha will soon sign his first professional contract with Liverpool, days after scoring the winner in the 3-2 win against Newcastle United.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Reds made difficult work for themselves at St James\u2019 Park despite Anthony Gordon receiving his marching orders at the end of the first half.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/liverpool\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Liverpool<\/a> took a commanding lead courtesy of a long-range strike from <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/ryan-gravenberch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ryan Gravenberch<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/hugo-ekitike-has-decided-which-club-he-would-rather-sign-for-out-of-liverpool-and-newcastle-united\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">former Newcastle target Hugo Ekitike<\/a>, who has now scored in all of his competitive appearances thus far.<\/p>\n<p>However, <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/rio-ngumoha\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ngumoha<\/a> stole the headlines as he emerged from the bench for his <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/english-premier-league\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Premier League<\/a> debut and became the hero for the Reds, scoring the winner ten minutes into stoppage time.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"699\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2232071518-1024x699.jpg\" alt=\"Newcastle United v Liverpool - Premier League\" class=\"wp-image-979745\" \/>Photo by Liverpool FC\/Liverpool FC via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>And on Friday, when he turns 17, he will be eligible to sign his first professional contract and receive a significant pay bump from his standard scholar\u2019s contract.<\/p>\n<p>Rio Ngumoha will sign his first professional contract with Liverpool<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6575823\/2025\/08\/26\/rio-ngumoha-situation-explained-chelsea-tribunal-compensation-contract\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Athletic<\/a>, Ngumoha is expected to put pen to paper on a fresh contract on his 17th birthday.<\/p>\n<p>Clubs in England are not permitted to offer professional deals until a player reaches 17, is no longer in full-time education, and has the written consent of a parent and legal guardian.<\/p>\n<p>Ngumoha is currently earning \u00a31,200 per month under his youth deal, and Liverpool\u2019s payment structure is capped at a basic salary of \u00a352,000 per year;
