The new store promises everyday essentials and greater conveience\"AnThe new stores will be Asda Express shops<\/p>\n

Asda has announced it will open 20 new stores across the country<\/a> including a site in Liverpool. The new Asda<\/a> Express store will be coming to Parliament Street later this year.<\/p>\n

The openings are due to begin early October starting with an Asda Express site in Castleford in early October. This will be followed by openings in up to 20 more locations<\/a> across the UK in the space of a month from late October onwards. All of the new branches will be Express convenience stores.<\/p>\n

Asda Express stores typically stock up to 3,000 branded and own-label products including essential items such as milk and bread<\/a>, on the go lunch items and cupboard staples.<\/p>\n

The new stores<\/a> will see Asda grow its footprint in high-footfall urban areas, residential locations<\/a>, and transport hubs \u2013 sites where the retailer has traditionally had limited presence.<\/p>\n

Chief supply chain officer David Lepley said: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to kick off the next phase of our Express rollout and bring our heritage in delivering outstanding value to more locations across the UK.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn just three years, we\u2019ve grown from zero convenience stores to establishing a major presence in the channel, with almost 500 stores by the end of the year.<\/p>\n

This continued investment reflects the confidence we have in our convenience strategy and our focus on bringing Asda\u2019s low prices to more local communities.\u201d<\/p>\n
