Reigning champions <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"54012d1b-24f0-7f9e-8e53-4372e84efd04\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.co.uk\/football\/team?id=5159\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">England<\/a> hosted the tournament in 2022, winning their first trophy on home soil. They defeated <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"b40064c7-ecaa-338f-74a8-a3eb43071ec3\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.co.uk\/football\/team?id=17640\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spain<\/a> in <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"6d0fbee2-00e0-ed33-b5c7-32fd32a9418a\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.co.uk\/football\/team?id=17641\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Switzerland<\/a>, the 2025 hosts, to defend their title.<\/p>\n<p>Seven of the eight venues included in Germany&#8217;s bid have a capacity of over 40,000 after Switzerland&#8217;s biggest venue housed 34,000.
