Fear Effect<\/a>, the FMV-heavy PS1 horror action game from Eidos, has suddenly appeared on PS Store for both PS5 and PS4.<\/p>\n

This was first spotted by Gematsu<\/a>, also noting that the game has yet to be seen on Switch or Steam:<\/p>\n

Not sure if this is an error, since neither the PC (Steam) or Switch versions are up, but Fear Effect (from Limited Run Games) just shadowdropped on PS5 + PS4 for $9.99:<\/p>\n

The port is from Limited Run Games, and was announced<\/a> back in June of last year.<\/p>\n

Due to the shadow drop-like nature of this release, and the fact other versions haven’t done the same, it’s speculated that the PS5 and PS4 launch might be a mistake.<\/p>\n

Either way, the game is available for digital purchase right now on PS Store for $9.99\/\u00a38.99.<\/p>\n

If it has launched early on PlayStation, it’s possible the game will be removed soon and reinstated at the proper time. Alternatively, it could just be that the Switch and Steam versions are held up for some reason.<\/p>\n
