Valencia head coach Carlos Corberan has provided an update on the club\u2019s goalkeeping situation amid links with a move for Leeds United\u2019s Illan Meslier. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Illan Meslier<\/a> is widely expected to leave Leeds this summer after a string of errors in their promotion season saw him lose his starting spot. <\/p>\n

Having fallen down the pecking order, Meslier was stripped of his squad number<\/a> and has not featured in a Leeds squad this season, after being frozen out by Daniel Farke<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Meslier has been linked with a sensational move to PSG<\/a> this summer, with his former club, Lorient, also holding an interest<\/a>, but they are unlikely to be able to afford his wages. <\/p>\n

Following reports that Valencia have now made Meslier a priority<\/a> target, Corberan has given an update on whether he is in the market for a goalkeeper in the current transfer window. <\/p>\n

Speaking in his weekly press conference ahead of Valencia\u2019s game against Getafe, via Diario AS<\/a>, Corberan addressed the goalkeeping situation at Valencia. <\/p>\n

Macedonian goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski could leave Valencia this summer, which would open up room for Meslier in their squad, as Corberan looks to put his stamp on his squad following the signing of Largie Ramazani<\/a>. <\/p>\n

However, Corberan kept his cards close to his chest ahead of the game against Getafe. When asked whether Dimitrievski would leave this summer, the Valencia boss said he was \u201ccalm\u201d about the situation. <\/p>\n

Corberan said, \u201cThe goalkeeping situation is calm, I have three goalkeepers available.\u201d<\/p>\n

As a result, it appears that a number of moving parts will have to fall into place for Corberan to swoop for Meslier, not least Dimitrievski\u2019s departure. <\/p>\n

Although all eyes have been on Leeds\u2019 recruitment in the current transfer window, as Noah Okafor<\/a> became the 10th signing of the summer, Farke has also ruthlessly swung the axe on his squad.<\/p>\n

Patrick Bamford became the latest player<\/a> to leave Leeds in the summer window, as the club announced the termination of his contract, as Farke looks to keep Leeds in the top flight. <\/p>\n
