Scotland head coach Bryan Easson has made a single change to his starting XV ahead of this Saturday\u2019s Women\u2019s Rugby World Cup Pool B clash with Fiji at Salford Community Stadium (kick-off 2.45pm BST, live on BBC Two and iPlayer).<\/p>\n
Elis Martin earns her first Rugby World Cup start at hooker, joining Leah Bartlett and Elliann Clarke in the front row. The rest of the pack remains unchanged, with Emma Wassell and Sarah Bonar continuing in the second row, and the familiar back row trio of captain Rachel Malcolm, Rachel McLachlan and Evie Gallagher rounding out the forwards.<\/p>\n
The back line is also untouched following Scotland\u2019s opening-round win over Wales. Leia Brebner-Holden and vice-captain Helen Nelson resume at half-back, with Lisa Thomson and Emma Orr in midfield. The back three features Chloe Rollie at full-back, Rhona Lloyd on the right wing, and hat-trick star Francesca McGhie on the left.<\/p>\n
Easson explained his thinking behind the minimal shake-up:<\/p>\n
\u201cRespect for Fiji. They\u2019re a good side, we\u2019ve watched them very closely, and we\u2019ve got to respect Fiji like we respected Wales \u2026 It was a bit of a no\u2011brainer to make minimal changes.\u201d<\/p>\n
On the bench, Easson sticks with a 6:2 split of forwards and backs. Adelle Ferrie and Anne Young are in line to make their Rugby World Cup debuts if called upon.<\/p>\n
