{"id":382846,"date":"2025-08-29T16:11:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-29T16:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/382846\/"},"modified":"2025-08-29T16:11:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T16:11:11","slug":"33m-player-now-being-considered-by-leeds-after-chelsea-hijack-facundo-buonanotte-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/382846\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00a333m player now being considered by Leeds after Chelsea hijack Facundo Buonanotte deal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Facundo Buonanotte has agreed terms on a loan transfer to Chelsea, TBR Football understands, leaving Leeds United furious and switching their attention to Aston Villa\u2019s Emiliano Buendia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/brighton-and-hove-albion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brighton<\/a> forward <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/facundo-buonanotte\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buonanotte<\/a> had looked set to seal a loan move to Elland Road and seriously strengthen Daniel Farke\u2019s attacking options.<\/p>\n<p>However, <strong>TBR Football<\/strong> understand that <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/chelsea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chelsea<\/a> have swooped to offer Brighton the same deal, convincing Buonanotte to choose a switch to Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2184062061-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Facundo Buonanotte during Manchester United vs Leicester City in the Premier League\" class=\"wp-image-887812\" \/>Photo by Michael Regan\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>After seemingly <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/xavi-simons-completes-tottenham-medical-ahead-of-52m-move-inspiring-star-will-be-devastated\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">losing out on Xavi Simons<\/a>, Chelsea could have landed a replacement and they are also set to <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/how-alejandro-garnacho-feels-about-leaving-man-united-as-40m-chelsea-deal-nears-completion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">seal the permanent signing of Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Leeds now looking at Emiliano Buendia after losing out on Facundo Buonanotte<\/p>\n<p><strong>TBR Football<\/strong> chief correspondent <strong>Graeme Bailey<\/strong> reports that Leeds had agreed terms with Brighton for the loan signing of Facundo Buonanotte \u2013 the same deal Chelsea are now doing \u2013 and were gearing up to give the 20-year-old a medical.<\/p>\n<p>But with Chelsea making a late move, Bailey says: \u201cLeeds are furious with the news that Buonanotte is now heading to Stamford Bridge and they are now having to look at other options with Aston Villa\u2019s Emi Buendia now a strong option for them.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2230856623-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Emiliano Buendia whilst playing for Aston Villa against Brentford.\" class=\"wp-image-980326\" \/>Photo by Vince Mignott\/MB Media\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Buonanotte decision has shocked Leeds, they were really excited that they had found their new no 10 option \u2013 which they have been working on. But they received a call to tell them it is off and they are not happy at all.<\/p>\n<p>The blow continues Leeds\u2019 frustrating transfer window, with Lukas Nmecha, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor signed to boost their forward line.
