The last few weekends have been full of high temperatures and warm sunshine – but the next few days look slightly more bleak.<\/p>\n
As the children begin to return to the classrooms over the next few days, it’s a good idea to locate their rain jackets, with a very wet weekend forecast predicted.<\/a><\/p>\n The Met Office has said: “Meteorological summer is ending on a wet and windy note for many, with low pressure the dominant force for the UK\u2019s weather<\/a>.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Warmest August bank holiday Monday ever for Northern Ireland<\/a>READ MORE: Call for urgent cross-party action to save Lough Neagh<\/a><\/p>\n “Recent settled and warm weather, which has helped put the UK on track to having its warmest summer on record, has now subsided and has been replaced with more unsettled and changeable weather.”<\/p>\n For Northern Ireland, after a dry start on Saturday rain will spread northeast across later in the morning.<\/p>\n “Drier and eventually brighter weather following on from mid-afternoon,” a spokesperson added.<\/p>\n “Windy, especially along the east coast. Maximum temperature 18C. Windy on Sunday with showers, some longer spells of rain in the west.
