{"id":383519,"date":"2025-08-29T22:07:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-29T22:07:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/383519\/"},"modified":"2025-08-29T22:07:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T22:07:10","slug":"scotrail-issues-guidance-on-edinburgh-glasgow-striling-disruptions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/383519\/","title":{"rendered":"ScotRail issues guidance on Edinburgh, Glasgow, Striling disruptions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Engineering works will be taking place this weekend (Saturday 30 and Sunday 31) between Linlithgow and\u00a0Stirling as well as between Carlisle and\u00a0Gretna Green.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Buses will replace trains on some routes.\n<\/p>\n<p>  ScotRail engineering work which will affect routes between:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Edinburgh and Stirling\/Perth\/Dunblane\/Inverness\n  <\/li>\n<li>Glasgow Queen Street and Falkirk Grahamston\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n  On Sunday, August 31 only, buses will replace trains between Carlisle and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenational.scot\/local-news\/dumfries-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dumfries<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The last journey from Carlisle to Glasgow will depart Carlisle at 18:33 as a replacement bus service to Dumfries, where customers can change onto the 19:50 train service to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgowtimes.co.uk\/topics\/glasgow-central\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Glasgow Central<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\n  The train operator added: &#8220;Check our app\/website for journey information and details of replacement transport on these routes. Please be advised that replacement vehicles may be busier than usual, and you should allow extra time for your journey.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>  Here is the full list of ScotRail bus replacements this weekend:<\/p>\n<p>  <strong>Saturday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>  <strong>Edinburgh \u2013 Stirling \/ Dunblane:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trains will operate between Edinburgh and Linlithgow.\n  <\/li>\n<li>Buses replace trains between Linlithgow and Stirling \/ Dunblane.\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  <strong>Edinburgh \u2013 Inverness:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Train services will be diverted via Ladybank and will not call at Stirling.
