A Good Morning Britain presenter has announced his departure from the programme as ITV <\/a>continues with widespread cost-cutting measures.<\/p>\n News correspondent Will Godley has been an essential member of the morning show’s reporting team<\/a> for four years, providing bulletins from locations nationwide.<\/p>\n But on Friday, August 29, Will confirmed his ITV tenure would be drawing to a close – after securing a fresh position with GB News.<\/p>\n Using X, previously Twitter, to share his announcement, Will declared: “JOB NEWS. Thrilled to be starting as a National Reporter at @GBNEWS in September!”.<\/p>\n “That means I’m sadly saying goodbye to @GMB after 4 wonderful years. A huge thanks to the brilliant team, who even made the nightshifts amazing. Really excited to get stuck in at GB News!” reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n Starting January 2026, ITV’s daytime programming will face major scheduling overhauls.<\/p>\n Good Morning Britain<\/a> will be lengthened by 30 minutes to broadcast from 6am until 9.30am each day.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, programme Lorraine, which follows immediately after, has been slashed by half and will broadcast for merely thirty minutes from 9.30am, instead of a full hour.<\/p>\n Additionally, the programme will only transmit for 30 weeks annually, with Good Morning Britain extending until 10am during its absence.<\/p>\n This Morning will remain in its regular 10am-12.30pm weekday position throughout the year, whilst Loose Women will continue in the 12.30-1.30pm time slot.<\/p>\n Nevertheless, similar to Lorraine, the panel programme will also only broadcast for 30 weeks per year. News has broken that Will is leaving, just months after it was disclosed that US correspondent <\/a>Noel Phillips had been let go from the show.<\/p>\n He was removed from his role on the programme as ITV looks to cut \u00a315 million from its budget. The journalist joined the show in 2021 as a US correspondent, covering major events such as the US elections and LA wildfires.<\/p>\n Following the announcement of his departure, Noel appeared on the ITV show, sharing the moment he was conned out of his entire life savings, nearly $30,000.<\/p>\n “I’m still in disbelief,” he confessed to the hosts. “I remember two weeks ago I was lying on the kitchen <\/a>floor numb, refusing to accept the fact I did something so stupid.<\/p>\n “I felt embarrassed, I felt ashamed, I felt worthless. On top of that, the excruciating pain of all of this is the mental trauma.<\/p>\n “How could someone like me who reports stories like this fall a victim?
