\n Taking place Saturday,\u00a0September 6, activists will march through Edinburgh<\/a> following demonstrations in Glasgow<\/a> and Stirling<\/a> earlier this year.\n<\/p>\n

\n In a post<\/a> on Twitter\/X, AUOB shared the timings and route of the upcoming Edinburgh<\/a> rally with speakers yet to be announced.\n<\/p>\n

The route is as follows:<\/p>\n

\n Johnstone<\/a> Terrace, Lawnmarket, High Street, Canongate, Horse Wynd then on to the Scottish Parliament.\n<\/p>\n

\n The march is due to kick off at 12:30pm and will end around 4:30pm and a 50-seat bus service has been organised to pick up attendees across Brechin, Forfar and Dundee<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

\n A spokesperson for AUOB told The National: \u201cAs we approach the 2026 elections<\/a>, there must be unity from all political parties to achieve the route to independence. The AUOB Edinburgh march and rally fully promotes this.\n<\/p>\n

\n YesBikers for Scottish Independence, who joined both the Stirling<\/a> and Glasgow marches, are also set to be in attendance, with performers and political speakers announced nearer the time.\n<\/p>\n

\n In June, the group organised a march through Stirling and in May, a Glasgow rally saw roughly 5000 attendees<\/a> with speakers including Alba leader Kenny MacAskill<\/a> and SNP<\/a> MSP Rona Mackay.\n<\/p>\n

\n During the Glasgow rally, MacAskill<\/a> praised an increase in turnout after numbers fell during the Covid-19 pandemic and urged First Minister John Swinney<\/a>\u00a0to put \u201ccountry before party\u201d as he called the 2026 vote a \u201cplebiscite election\u201d for Scottish independence<\/a>.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
