Swapping Jack Doohan<\/a> for Franco Colapinto seemed like a pointless change for Alpine, and now the boss has acknowledged it:<\/p>\n

At last an admission by Briatore that Colapinto hasn\u2019t been as good as he thought. However strange to say that he now has a very strong team mate in Gasly when Albon was just as good<\/p>\n

It\u2019s easier for me to think he adapted well to the Williams car and we saw his peak speed there, and he can\u2019t adapt to the Alpine car, much like other drivers can\u2019t adapt to the Red Bull.
