A British whodunnit series is now trending on Netflix UK<\/a> after it was added to the service this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Created by the production company behind Line of Duty and filmed around Merseyside, The Gathering first aired on Channel 4 last year.<\/p>\n

The plot follows the aftermath of a violent attack on a teenager at an illegal beach rave. Each episode focuses on a different character, slowly piecing together who committed the murder, and why.<\/p>\n

The cast includes Warren Brown (Luther, The Responder), Vinette Robinson (Six Four, Boiling Point), Christine Tremarco (Adolescence, Little Boy Blue), Eva Morgan (This City Is Ours), Sadie Soverall (Fate: The Winx Saga) and Sonny Walker (The Responder).<\/p>\n

After its Netflix debut, the film is currently sat in fifth place on the trending Netflix UK TV shows chart.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the first season that aired on Channel 4 last year is likely going to be The Gathering’s only season, as the broadcaster pulled the plug.<\/p>\n

Channel 4 stated at the time that it was “very proud of The Gathering and everything it has achieved,” specifically how it “championed regional voices both on and off screen” and it was widely praised for its authentic representation of Liverpool and Merseyside.<\/p>\n

In the last week, Netflix UK has added the Spanish-language revenge thriller<\/a> Two Graves, and the M15 action film Complicit.<\/p>\n

The streaming giant has also just added the second season of the “trashy drama”<\/a> My Life with the Walter Boys, and the long-awaited film version<\/a> of The Thursday Murder Club, which has proven to be quite controversial with fans of the book<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Gathering is available to watch now on Netflix and the Channel 4 streaming service.<\/strong><\/p>\n
