The delivery, confirmed on\u00a0August 29\u00a0by\u00a0German Aid in\u00a0Ukraine, is\u00a0the second this year and part of\u00a0Germany\u2019s broader commitment to\u00a0supply 18\u00a0IRIS-T SLM units in\u00a0total.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u00a0the sources battery was <a href=\"https:\/\/deaidua.org\/news\/2025\/08\/29\/eighth-iris-t-slm-fire-unit-delivered-to-ukraine\/\" rel=\"external noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">delivered<\/a> two weeks ago after Ukrainian crews completed training in\u00a0July. There was also reported that the new system is\u00a0already operational and deployed for combat\u00a0use.<\/p>\n<p>Germany has pledged to\u00a0deliver 18\u00a0IRIS-T SLM units, of\u00a0which seven were in\u00a0Ukraine by\u00a0late July.
