Commuters and visitors can still move around the city by using buses, the <strong>Elizabeth line<\/strong>, and the <strong>Overground.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Key dates of the Tube strikes <\/p>\n<p>The strike will begin at <strong>6pm on Friday, September 5, bringing all Underground services to a halt<\/strong> after that time. <strong>Complete shutdowns on the Underground will occur from September 6 through September 11<\/strong>, with additional disruption on the DLR from September 7 onward.<\/p>\n<p>The specific breakdown is as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, September 5:<\/strong> No Underground trains after 6pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, September 6:<\/strong> No Underground service all day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, September 7-Thursday, September 11:<\/strong> No Underground or DLR service all day.<\/p>\n<p> How to get around London during the Tube strikes <\/p>\n<p>Despite the widespread tube shutdown, Londoners have several alternatives to get around the city:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elizabeth line:<\/strong> This line is unaffected and will run its usual services unless affected by separate engineering works or station closures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>London Overground:<\/strong> Operating as normal, though some engineering works may occur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>London buses:<\/strong> Services continue but are expected to be much busier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Walking or cycling:<\/strong> TfL encourages the use of bicycles or journeys on foot to avoid congestion.<\/p>\n<p> Tube lines impacted by the strikes <\/p>\n<p>All London Underground lines are impacted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bakerloo<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Central<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Circle<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>District<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Hammersmith &amp; City<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Jubilee<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Metropolitan<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Northern<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Piccadilly<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Victoria<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Waterloo &amp; City<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, <strong>from September 7, the DLR will also be closed<\/strong> due to industrial action by its staff.<\/p>\n<p> Additional disruptions on the Elizabeth line and Overground <\/p>\n<p>Travellers should be aware that although Elizabeth line and Overground trains will run, certain stations may be closed due to the strike action.
