HALLANDALE BEACH, FL\u2014<\/strong>Amy Dunne and trainer Patrick Biancone\u2019s<\/a> Squire<\/a> produced a bullet workout Saturday at Palm Meadows Training Center in preparation for a scheduled start in next Saturday\u2019s $100,000 Dr. Fager<\/a>, the six-furlong first leg of the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders\u2019 and Owners\u2019 Association Florida Sire Stakes<\/a> for 2-year-olds sired by accredited Florida stallions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The son of Pleasant Acres Stallions\u2019 freshman sire Leinster<\/a> breezed three furlongs in :35.70, the fastest of 22 workouts at the distance recorded at Gulfstream Park\u2019s satellite training facility in Palm Beach County. Jockey Jonathan Ocasio<\/a> was aboard for the sixth in a series of workouts following Squire\u2019s second-place finish in the $100,000 Royal Palm Juvenile May 10 at Gulfstream.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe did very well,\u201d Biancone said. \u201cHe\u2019s in good form.\u201d<\/p>\n

Squire, who rallied from off the pace to win his April 18 debut at four-and-a-half furlongs<\/a>, set the pace in the mile Royal Palm Juvenile on turf before settling for second, a length-and-a-half behind Sandal\u2019s Song, who went on to finish third in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes June 19 at Royal Ascot.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Squire will make his return to action as a first-time gelding. A field of eight were entered for the Dr. Fager.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Squire is out of Saudi Chroma, by Lucky Pulpit and was bred in Florida by Amy E.<\/a> and Ciaran G. Dunne<\/a>. He has $71,560 in earnings from his two races.<\/p>\n

The Dr. Fager will co-headline next Saturday\u2019s card with the $100,000 Desert Vixen<\/a>, the six-furlong first leg of the FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes for juvenile fillies sired by accredited Florida stallions.<\/p>\n

Biancone-trained Florida-bred Lennilu<\/a>, who won her April 6 debut<\/a> at Keeneland before capturing the $100,000 Royal Palm Juvenile Fillies<\/a> at Gulfstream before finishing third in the Queen Mary (G2)<\/a> June 18 at Royal Ascot, will run in either the Desert Vixen or the $1 million Untapable on turf at Kentucky Downs Sept. 7.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Lennilu is by Leinster out of Lulu\u2019s Pom Pom, by Pomeroy and was bred in Florida by Helen and Joseph Barbazon<\/a>. She has earned $103,289 in her three starts.<\/p>\n
