DOMINIC LIPINSKI\/POOL\/AFP via Getty Images <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to Sykes\u2019 sources, William is \u201cnot remotely amused\u201d over reports that brother Harry and wife Meghan Markle are developing a project for Netflix as part of their \u201cfirst-look\u201d deal with the streamer through their Archewell Productions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Sykes added that the upcoming doc could explain why Netflix is still in business with Harry and Meghan when the programming to come out of their partnership has so far <a onclick=\"_sendArticleBodyInlineLinkClickAnalytics(&#039;https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/meghan-markles-show-returns-for-another-season-of-carefully-curated-inauthenticity\/&#039;)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/meghan-markles-show-returns-for-another-season-of-carefully-curated-inauthenticity\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/meghan-markles-show-returns-for-another-season-of-carefully-curated-inauthenticity\/\">been ripped<\/a> as \u201cdisastrous\u201d and \u201cboring\u201d in the press.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe could have dueling Diana documentaries from the two boys,\u201d Sykes said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">News of a rehashing of Diana\u2019s life and 1997 death at 36 comes on the heels of <a onclick=\"_sendArticleBodyInlineLinkClickAnalytics(&#039;https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/why-i-believe-diana-was-murdered-daily-beast-royal-expert\/&#039;)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/why-i-believe-diana-was-murdered-daily-beast-royal-expert\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/why-i-believe-diana-was-murdered-daily-beast-royal-expert\/\">Sykes\u2019 explosive essay<\/a> in which he lays out the reasons for why he now believes that the beloved \u201cPeople\u2019s Princess\u201d could have been murdered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cLots of people in the UK certainly will remember where they were, and I\u2019m not calling for the inquest to be reopened or anything like that. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s anything to be gained, but I think it\u2019s a really, really, really interesting story,\u201d Sykes said. \u201cAnd I think the holes in the story are just so fascinating because they\u2019re just, it\u2019s all just hidden in plain sight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Diana was killed in a Paris car crash on August 31, 1997, when her driver, Henri Paul, lost control of the Mercedes he was driving as the vehicle entered the Pont de l\u2019Alma underpass. They collided with another car, then hit a concrete column. Paul and Diana\u2019s companion, Dodi Fayed, were killed, but Fayed\u2019s bodyguard, Trevor Rees-Jones, survived; Rees-Jones was the only one wearing a seatbelt. Langevin Jacques\/Sygma via Getty Images <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cI think these days of what our governments might be up to and those kinds of things, so much stuff has come to light of the kind of covert actions and that kind of stuff,\u201d Sykes told the Daily Beast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He added, \u201cI do always say to people, \u2018I could be wrong.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Sykes remembered what one of Diana\u2019s best friends, Rosa Monckton, said. \u201cShe said, \u2018Diana was such an extraordinary person that people cannot accept that she died in an ordinary way, but she did,\u2019\u201d added Sykes. \u201cAnd for many, many years, I really bought that line.
