Lucas Paqueta could miss West Ham\u2019s final game before the transfer deadline, amid interest from Aston Villa.<\/a><\/p>\n

That\u2019s according to talkSPORT<\/a> who claim Villa have \u2018entered the race\u2019 for the 28-year-old in the final days of the window.<\/p>\n

They say the Hammers don\u2019t want to sell the Brazilian but a deal could be struck for around \u00a360million.<\/p>\n

And with Graham Potter\u2019s men due to play Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon, just before Villa face Crystal Palace, Paqueta could sit out at the City Ground despite being an ever present so far this term.<\/p>\n

Indeed the former Lyon and AC Milan star has scored twice in the first three games so far this term, albeit in a misfiring West Ham side.<\/p>\n

The report says Villa \u2018look to be eyeing\u2019 a move, after Tottenham were extensively linked earlier in the summer.<\/p>\n

The Athletic<\/a> claims Unai Emery is a big admirer of Paqueta and that he doesn\u2019t want to play against the Reds while his future is up in the air.<\/p>\n

However, The Athletic also warn that the financial side of the deal \u2018is very tough to do\u2019 given Villa\u2019s obligations to comply with UEFA\u2019s financial restrictions<\/a> and size of the Hammers\u2019 likely fee.<\/p>\n

They say: ‘Villa have explored terms of a deal but unless a solution can be found, an agreement is unlikely’. Paqueta has two years remaining on his contract.<\/p>\n
