The rare \u00a31 coins have recently made headlines however, with just \u00a3170,000 having been released in 2025.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  With just 170,000 Flora and Fauna \u00a31 coins having been released into circulation, the Royal Mint has admitted that the 2025 version will be one of the rarest coins in the UK.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The news that just 170,000 coins were being released by the Royal Mint made national headlines last week. To put the figure into perspective, the 2023 Salmon 50p coin caused a frenzy amongst UK coin collectors with a 200,000 mintage figure.
