{"id":386546,"date":"2025-08-31T05:02:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-31T05:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/386546\/"},"modified":"2025-08-31T05:02:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-31T05:02:10","slug":"three-oldham-spots-that-should-be-on-the-best-breakfast-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/386546\/","title":{"rendered":"Three Oldham spots that should be on the best breakfast list"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Last week (August 18), travel expert Rob Crossan published a list of 50 places he thinks are the best to grab a breakfast on the Mail Online.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Only one Greater Manchester venue featured on the list, with Browns on York Street in the city centre praised for its fry-up.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  However, no Oldham venues were included in the list, despite the borough being home to independent spots utilising fresh and locally sourced ingredients.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Below are three places we think\u00a0should have featured on the list.\n<\/p>\n<p>  Albion Farm Shop &amp; Cafe<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"A full English at Albion Farm Shop\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>A full English at Albion Farm Shop\u00a0(Image: Newsquest) Set in a beautiful countryside location, while still being easy enough to access, Albion Farm deserves a place on this list due to its excellent quality food.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Homegrown vegetables and meat raised on site at the farm make breakfast here especially unique.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Even the vegetarian breakfast stands out, featuring no fake meat and instead promoting locally grown vegetables.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It&#8217;s not just the food that makes the venue special, though; it&#8217;s the experience of going, with the farm shop next door being open to browse before or after food, and the friendly staff topping it all off.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  When <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theoldhamtimes.co.uk\/news\/24862114.albion-farm-shop-cafe-perfect-cosy-place-visit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Oldham Times tried Albion Farm shop earlier this year,<\/a> the trip was enjoyed due to the community feel, with brands from around Oldham and neighbouring boroughs promoted throughout the farm.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  During the visit, \u00a319 was spent on a full English and a hot chocolate, with a few customisations followed perfectly.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  For the quality and enjoyment, Albion Farm is well worth a visit.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>  The Loading Bay<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"The Loading Bay in Diggle\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>The Loading Bay in Diggle (Image: The Loading Bay)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Despite only having opened this month, The Loading Bay has quickly soared to one of the top-rated cafes in the borough, with a Google rating of 4.8 stars.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Diggle\u2019s newest culinary offering is owned by the Greenwood family, the former owners of the Greenwood Craftsman Bakers, which had several shops in Oldham.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Having been born and raised in Saddleworth, the director of the cafe and bistro, 75-year-old Marcus Greenwood, said\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theoldhamtimes.co.uk\/news\/25405467.new-cafe-bistro-wine-bar-opens-saddleworth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opening the cafe was a homecoming<\/a> after mainly working in other parts of Oldham and Greater Manchester.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <strong>Is there a venue you think should be added to this list or deserves some spotlight?
