The brand marketing director of <a class=\"fnwAddLinks\" href=\"https:\/\/ww.fashionnetwork.com\/tags-jd-sports\" title=\"JD Sports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JD Sports<\/a> UK\/Europe has just left to join German Doner Kebab as its chief marketing officer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"news-image\" style=\"width:100%;max-width:800px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1e5d.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> DR<\/p>\n<p>Waters had worked at <a class=\"fnwAddLinks\" href=\"https:\/\/ww.fashionnetwork.com\/tags-jd\" title=\"JD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JD<\/a> for three years forming the link between the brand and agency-of-choice Uncommon Creative Studio which was responsible for the launch of its &#8220;bold new global brand identity\u201d \u2018Forever Forward\u2019 while he is also cited for \u201cdelivering award-winning campaigns that deeply resonated with Gen Z audiences\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Waters joined as UK retail marketing director in 2022 becoming brand marketing director in 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-md-8 offset-md-1 article-content--texte\">Before JD Sports, he was head of in-store marketing at supermarket <a class=\"fnwAddLinks\" href=\"https:\/\/ww.fashionnetwork.com\/tags-morrisons\" title=\"Morrisons\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Morrisons<\/a>. He also previously worked in various marketing roles at another supermarket, <a class=\"fnwAddLinks\" href=\"https:\/\/ww.fashionnetwork.com\/tags-asda\" title=\"Asda\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Asda<\/a>, bringing over 20 years of combined experience across the FMCG and fashion retail sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Waters has now joined the fast-expanding high-street food retailer, which has plans to open 300 UK restaurants and achieve \u00a3400 million in sales by 2028.<\/p>\n<p>Just last week, JD Sports Fashion issued a trading update for Q2 and HI showing like-for-like sales dipped in both periods, \u2018organic\u2019 (currency-neutral sales factoring out acquisitions) rose however.
