One person was taken to hospital following a crash on the A9 which closed the busy trunk road<\/a><\/strong> on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

The route, which is part of the North Coast 500, was shut following a collision between a motorbike and small van at Kildary in Easter Ross at around 11.10am.<\/p>\n

Police, the ambulance service and two fire crews from Invergordon attended the scene.<\/p>\n

The fire service said that the two Invergordon appliances used powered rescue equipment and small tools at the scene before standing down at 11.39am.<\/p>\n

The road later reopened<\/a><\/strong>, with Traffic Scotland confirming that vehicles were moving again at the scene in an update at 1.17pm<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A Police Scotland spokesperson said that one person was taken to hospital. The nature of their injuries is not known.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 11.10am on Sunday, we were called to a two vehicle crash on the A9 at Kildary junction, Invergordon.<\/p>\n

“One person was taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing.”<\/p>\n

The Scottish Ambulance Service was also approached for comment.<\/p>\n
