Manchester United are exploring the possibility of signing Emi Mart\u00ednez from Aston Villa.<\/a><\/p>\n The Argentina number one is open to a move to Old Trafford and may not feature for Villa against Crystal Palace<\/a> this evening amid speculation over his future.<\/p>\n United have been in talks with Villa over a potential deal, with Jadon Sancho heading the other way also being a possibility.<\/p>\n Mart\u00ednez has been open to leaving Villa for several months and appeared visibly emotional after the club\u2019s final home game of last season, against Tottenham in May.<\/p>\n At the time, he believed it was his final appearance at Villa Park – and that may still prove to be the case, as he was suspended for the opening weekend clash against Newcastle United at B6.<\/p>\n United are expected to make their move for Mart\u00ednez after struggling to reach an agreement with Royal Antwerp over the signing of 23-year-old goalkeeper Senne Lammens.<\/p>\n The highly rated Belgian is also considered a target for Villa should Mart\u00ednez depart, while FC Porto\u2019s Diogo Costa is under consideration too.<\/p>\n What do you make of the latest?
