PSV Eindhoven are in advanced talks to sign Sheffield United star Gustavo Hamer, Football Insider<\/strong> can exclusively reveal.<\/p>\n

After excelling in the Championship last term, Hamer has attracted transfer interest from Leeds United<\/a>, who beat his current club to promotion. <\/p>\n

However, the midfielder is now more likely to join PSV Eindhoven, who can offer him the chance to return to the Dutch top flight. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sheffield United have signed Tahith Chong<\/a>, as they vie to end their poor run of form in the Championship. <\/p>\n

While Sheffield United<\/a> missed out on promotion last term, Hamer was a key asset for the Bramall Lane club, notching nine goals and seven assists in 41 second-tier appearances.<\/p>\n

However, amid the South Yorkshire outfit\u2019s poor start to the new campaign, the former Coventry City man is yet to score or assist in the league this season. <\/p>\n

The 28-year-old\u2019s previous exploits have done enough to impress PSV Eindhoven<\/a>, though, while Peter Bosz\u2019s men sit fourth in the Eredivisie.<\/p>\n

Hamer, who is comfortable on the wing and as an attacking midfielder, has proven himself as one of the best players in the Championship in recent seasons, and could help the Blades turn their poor form around.<\/p>\n
