He has spent the last 18 months on loan at Plymouth.

Back at Leeds after Plymouth’s relegation, Gyabi finds himself in the final year of his contract and far from Farke’s first-team plans. Earlier this week, it was reported that Hull were one of many clubs interested.

Now, the Hull Daily Mail report that Hull are indeed, trying to sign Gyabi on loan. However, there is a problem. Joe Gelhardt’s side need to let a player go before they can bring Gyabi in on deadline day.

Photo by Isabelle Field/Plymouth Argyle via Getty ImagesWhich other clubs are interested in a deal for Darko Gyabi?

Hull are not the only side interested in Gyabi, who impressed in glimpses for Plymouth. According to a report, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham would like to take Gyabi in on loan tomorrow.

MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES

There is also interest from Watford while French clubs Lorient and Metz, both in Ligue 1, would like to sign Gyabi before the deadline. Of course, Lorient have also held talks to sign their former man Meslier.

But it looks like Hull are leading the way and given the early success of Gelhardt’s season-long loan, Leeds will be tempted to send him there. Whether Hull can get a player first, remains to be seen.

Daniel Farke will not have wanted it, Adam Underwood will probably have tried to avoid it.
